Fishing Trips - Offshore: From October through to June (sometimes excluding Jan & Feb), Yellowfin and Longfin Tuna come within 40 miles of Cape Point and fish in excess of 100kgs have been caught. We have the experience and expertise to take you to the fish safely and help you catch them. It's an exhilarating 12 hour trip for up to 6 people fishing. An experience not to be missed.

Fishing Trips - Inshore: Within False Bay there are many reefs as well as Seal Island and Cape Point where a large variety of good eating fish can be caught. Yellowtail, Cob, Geelbec (Cape Salmon) to name but a few can be caught at different times of the year and we offer a half (5 hours) and full day (8 hours) charters. A maximum of 6 people can fish and we often take the wives along to enjoy the day too. Bait, tackle, snacks & drinks are included as part of the package.

Corporate Fun Days: Mix and match any of our activities to suit your corporate need. Fishing or just fun, party or an elegant cocktail cruise…you choose.

Cray Fishing: Fishing with a difference, in season only. Eat your catch and sip some good South African wine to boot..…

Bird Watching: You’ll be amazed with the variety of birds found offshore, we’ll take you 10 miles off Cape Point for the spectacle.

Sunset Cruises: Take in the grandeur of the ocean and the spectacular sunset as you relax with your friends and attentive crew whilst sipping your favorite tipple.

Scuba Diving: We take you to safe water where you can slide over the side and experience the wonders of False Bay.

Technical stuff:
Tailwalker is a 38ft Hartley Sports Fishing Boat and has just undergone a complete refit. New engines, props, shafts, GPS, Radar, Fish Finder, new everything including the head (electric toilet). We have a fully fitted galley including microwave, hob & fridge freezer. The boat operates from the Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club (the old harbour) where all cruises begin and end.

Tailwalker is a registered passenger charter vessel, has full SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority) safety certification for up to 40 nautical miles offshore, has personal liability insurance and always has two qualified skippers on board.

Tailwalker can be chartered for up to 12 passengers or the boat can be yours exclusively. We pride ourselves on our customer service and provide quality wines and food. The boat is a family run concern and our personal attention will make you feel as at home as one of the crew. We will make your experience with us as relaxing and enjoyable as is possible
